Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first appearance was in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in her role on the ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents didn't want her to perform until she turned older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry confessed that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began performing as a means to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved to New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California for theater roles. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she was a part-time character in ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. That same year she was cast as a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen version of her mother's character. The actress was chosen for the role despite her close family connection to the character.
