Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia on the 14th of May 1964. Her parents are Jewish. Her age at present is the age of 58. Sandra Kolber, her mother has been her name. Gene Kolber, is her father. She was a student at Sandy Run Middle School, Dresher Pennsylvania. In 1982 she was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School. In 1986, the University of Miami awarded her the Bachelor of Arts (telecommunications) degree in 1986. While she was still an undergraduate student and was offered a position at Dynamic Cable, as the Sports Director. In addition, she was employed by Dynamic Cable between 1984 and 1986 for a total of two years. She was also a member of the University of Miami water skiing team in this period. In her youth Plaza took part in the community theater in her hometown of Wilmington acting performing improv and directed one-act plays. In New York City, Plaza was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and attended improv class in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. In 2006 she graduated with a master's degree in production of television and film. The year 2006 was the year she suffered a stroke at age 20 which left her with a temporary expressive aphasia.
